Fever with a seizure are SUPER scary in kids! There is no doubt about it. However, with very little exception head imaging is not warranted. There are costs and there are potential risks of complications. Remember, little kids who get lots of radiation from imaging tests have an increased risk of cancer later in life. Be wise, be careful when talking to the ER doctor about this.
