MedHead Message:

Sinusitis is one of the most reasons for visits to urgent care, and costs almost $6 billion annually. If you are thinking you need an antibiotic because your sinus cavities (in your face next to your nose and forehead) are hurting, just say “NO” to antibiotics unless it has been at least a week. You’ll be doing yourself a huge favor by saving you money, and reducing the risk of taking an antibiotic uneccessarily, which increases your risk of antibiotics not helping you in the future.
