Men–testosterone checks are not useful for a screening test at your yearly physical. However, if you are having symptoms, and not presenting just for screening, then checking a level would be warranted. Look for symptoms like significant fatigue, tired, sleepy, low energy, low sex-drive. Just because you may have a low testosterone on a lab test doesn’t mean you need to take supplemental testosterone if you are having no symptoms. This is important.
