This is an about face for me. Previous data showed that dying from any cause was unaffected by the number of steps taken in a day, but strongly correlated with aerobic exercise. Now we have some evidence that a great number of steps taken per day is significantly associated with dying, with the highest benefit in the 12,000 steps per day group. So get out there and get your steps in!
