There is no need for IV fluids in the ER with mild to moderate dehydration if you can keep fluids down by mouth. If you can’t keep anything down for a couple of days, and feeling dizzy, lethargy, you’ll need to get IV fluids. Only some urgent care centers have IV rehydration; all ER’s will have IV fluids.
