MedHead Message:

Schools adminstrators and nurses, please read this!! This is cruel and unusual punishment. Do NOT keep the child out of school until you can’t see nits anymore, They are stuck to the hair shaft! They should be treated and sent back to school the next day. Lice can only be transmitted by direct head to head contact. They may be transmissible by sharing combs, etc. but this hasn’t been proven. Please, change your lice policy immediately, and educate parents about lice.
